Holding the meetings of the 17th session of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Trade Committee
Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, received Dr. Maged Al-Qasabi, Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment, at Cairo Airport, this evening, Sunday, who is visiting Egypt at the head of a high-level delegation, to head the Saudi side in the meetings of the 17th session of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Trade Committee, along with the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Business Council.
The reception ceremony was attended by Ambassador Osama bin Ahmed Naqli, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Abdul Rahman bin Saeed Al-Juma, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the League of Arab States, Bandar Al-Amiri, Head of the Saudi side at the Joint Business Council, Hatem Al-Ashry, Advisor to the Minister of Trade and Industry for Institutional Communication, and Commercial Advisor Osama Pasha, head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Jeddah.
It is scheduled to meet Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, with the Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment to review the latest developments in economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The Saudi minister will also hold a number of meetings with some Egyptian government officials.
This visit comes within the framework of the great momentum witnessed by the cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia at various levels, especially trade cooperation, especially that the total volume of trade exchange between the two countries exceeded $5.5 billion in 2020.
