Moroccan Foreign Minister: The European Union has nothing to do with our crisis with Spain

Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita said that the current crisis with Spain is a "bilateral crisis, in which the European Union is not involved."

Bourita's comment came in response to the European Parliament's vote on a resolution on "violating the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Moroccan authorities' use of minors in the migration crisis in Ceuta."

He added that the European Parliament's involvement in the crisis with Spain is a futile attempt and does not help in resolving the roots of the dispute with Spain, stressing that "Morocco is satisfied with its partnership with the European Union in all fields."

On Thursday, the European Parliament voted on a resolution rejecting what it considered "Morocco's use of the file of minors in the migration crisis of the city of Ceuta", with the approval of 397 deputies.
