British research revealed today, Tuesday, that more than 90% of Britons develop antibodies to the Corona virus after being vaccinated with a single dose of the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines.
And the study conducted by University College London, according to what was reported by the British newspaper (The Guardian), that nearly 100% of those who were vaccinated developed antibodies after the second dose of either of the two vaccines, as this study included 8 thousand and 517 people in England and Wales.
The study found that 96.42% of people who got the vaccine developed antibodies 28 to 34 days after receiving the first dose, rising to 99.08% within 7 to 14 days of the second dose.
She pointed out that both vaccines were equally good at stimulating the antibodies needed to fight Covid-19.
"This is one of the first vaccine studies in the real world in the UK, and it is great news," said research lead Dr Maddy Schrotry.
He continued, "More than 9 out of ten adults in the United Kingdom who used the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine produced antibodies to the virus within a month of the first vaccine."
The British doctor added that "how well these vaccines work is remarkable, especially given the speed with which they were developed. It is a real achievement for science in the face of the most dangerous pandemic in a century."
