Watford join Norwich City and officially rise to the Premier League

Watford climbed to the Premier League next season, after achieving a valuable victory over its home team Millwall with a free goal, in the match that brought the two teams together on Saturday night, in the 44th round of the First Division competitions.

Watford became the second rising team of the Premier League next season, after the Norwich City team, which decided its rise in the last round, while Sheffield United booked the first relegation ticket for the first division.

Watford continued in the First Division for one season, after it had been relegated in the 2019-2020 season.

Senegalese star Ismaila Sarr scored the goal of Watford's victory over Millwall in the 11th minute, with a penalty kick.

With that result, Watford's score rose to 88 points in second place, 5 points behind leaders Norwich City, and 10 points behind Brentford III, who have 3 games left.

It is worth noting that the rising third team in the English Premier League next season will be determined by the promotion cycle, which includes 4 teams that occupy the positions from third to sixth.
