The Algerian Ministry of Defense announces thwarting a "dangerous plot" planned by the separatist movement "MAC"

The Algerian Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, that it has thwarted a "dangerous conspiracy" targeting the country planned by the separatist movement "MAC".

A statement by the Algerian Ministry of Defense reported that it is a continuation of the security investigations related to the operation carried out in late March 2021, by the security services of the Ministry of National Defense, and related to the dismantling of a criminal cell consisting of affiliates of the separatist movement "MAK" involved in planning to carry out bombings and criminal acts amid marches and gatherings Popular in several regions of the country, in addition to the seizure of military weapons and explosives that were intended to implement its criminal plans, the preparation of a dangerous conspiracy targeting the country by this movement was revealed.

The statement added that it became clear through the dangerous confessions made by the former member of the subversive MAC movement called H. Nour al-Din, according to the security interests, about the existence of a malicious criminal plan that depends on the implementation of these bombings, and then exploiting the images of those operations in their malicious and destructive campaigns as a pretext to seek external interference in the internal affairs of our country. Several elements belonging to the separatist movement "MAK" were involved in this plot. Combat training abroad, with funding and support from foreign countries.

 

The Ministry of Defense statement concluded that this process, which reflects the vigilance of the security interests of the Ministry of National Defense and its ability to thwart criminal plots, is still continuing to arrest all those involved in this subversive group that aims to destabilize the security, stability and unity of the country.
