The General Command of the Libyan Armed Forces affirmed the sovereignty of security in eastern Libya and its readiness to receive the meeting of the Libyan National Unity Government, and the General Command said - in a statement reported by the Libyan Al Wasat portal - “The past three days witnessed the publication of media outlets belonging to extremist organizations not interested in the unity of Libya, and the success of The political process that led to the production of a unified authority, false information that the city of Benghazi is insecure, and because of it, the cabinet meeting was canceled, and the unity government visited Benghazi.
She stressed that such rumors are only spread by the enemies of Libya, the enemies of security and safety, and those seeking to divide the country, and those who do not respect the successes achieved by the Libyan people in recent months, stressing their full readiness to receive high-level delegations and to ensure their security and safety at the highest level.
Earlier, the spokesman for the National Unity Government, Muhammad Hammouda, announced that the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in the unity government decided to postpone the date of the cabinet meeting that was scheduled to be held in Benghazi last Monday, provided that preparations for a later date will be made as soon as possible. The spokesman states the reasons for the postponement of this meeting.
