A magnitude 4.2 earthquake hits northeast Algeria



An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale jolts Batna province, north-eastern Algeria.


A statement by the Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 5 km south-east of Tazault in the same governorate, and it also did not indicate casualties or material losses.
