Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi said that he is keen on peace and making concessions to infuse blood, which was met with intransigence and rejection by the Houthi militia, ignoring peace references and relevant UN decisions.
This came during the Yemeni president's talks with Swedish Foreign Minister Anne Linde, during which they discussed the latest developments in the country and the human suffering that the Yemeni people endure as a result of the Houthi militia attacks, according to the Yemeni News Agency.
President Hadi expressed his appreciation for Sweden's efforts in support of Yemen in various aspects, including those related to relief and humanitarian efforts and its distinguished role in this regard.
He praised Sweden's active role within the framework of the European Union, its support for Yemen, its constitutional legitimacy and its sponsorship of the peace talks in Stockholm, as well as its appointment of a special envoy to Yemen.
For her part, Lindy expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the Yemeni president to overcome the repercussions of the war and the crisis facing his country, confirming Sweden's position in support of Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy.
She referred to the efforts that her country is undertaking in this regard. To find out the humanitarian situation and provide support in general, she affirmed that her country would continue to support the holding of donor conferences in the coming period to support Yemen.
