Copa America .. Scaloni will not make changes to Argentina's squad against Chile

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni did not announce the starting line-up to face Chile on Monday evening at the start of their campaign in the Copa America, but confirmed that he will adhere to a "specific method and performance" for the opening in the continental championship and will not make many adjustments compared to the last meeting of the "Tango Dancers". .

The coach stated on the eve of the confrontation that the formation is "almost certain" and will not make "a lot of changes compared to the last match" in the qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup 2022, stressing that he will push many of the players who drew 2-2 against Colombia in the eighth round of the World Cup qualifiers.

He continued: "There is a specific idea and this will not change. I am interested in possession. If the team has the ball, it will attack. In the last match, we had a lot of scoring opportunities and this is what matters," in a digital press conference after the arrival of the "Albiceleste" mission to Rio de Janeiro.

Regarding the absence of Alexis Sanchez from the Chile national team, Scaloni said: "He is a great player, but when a team lacks the efforts of one of its most prominent players, he becomes stronger. It is an important absence, but Chile is able to compensate for him."

Regarding Sergio Aguero, the coach added that the player "has the same ability to play as the rest of his teammates. He recovers the required rhythm in training and is ready to participate" against Chile.
