The Workers' Party of Brazil celebrated its former president, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, as the results of the poll conducted by the Brazilian Institute "Datafolha" confirmed that it was a favorite for the presidential elections next year.
"Brazil hopes once again to rebuild the country with growth and social justice, as it was during the Lula governments; the survey also confirms that the incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro cannot continue, it is time to fight for people's lives," said the Labor Party leader. Glacey Hoffman on Twitter "Humility and Faith in the Future".
According to the poll, Lula leads the presidential race in the first round (41% to 23% for President Jair Bolsonaro) and will defeat the far-right leader in the polls by a wide margin: 55% to 32% of the vote, according to the Brazilian newspaper O Globo.
Additionally, Bolsonaro is also the presidential candidate with the highest rejection rate among the candidates; 54% of those interviewed said they would not vote for him in any way.
On social media, representatives of other parties also celebrated this information: “We will return! Life will triumph over death,” said former Deputy Health Minister Alexander Padilla, while Representative Helder Salomau also confirmed that the poll confirms that people are “missing Lula’s time.”
"Lula, the only candidate capable of defeating the genocidal government during the Bolsonaro era, has been expelled, and the Brazilian people will smile again," said former Senator and incumbent member of the Rio de Janeiro council, Lindberg Farias.
Last March, the Federal Supreme Court annulled the rulings of former President Lula, which enabled him to run in the October 2022 elections.
