France rewards the "Corona champions" by granting them citizenship ... Know the details

The French government decided to grant citizenship to more than 2,000 foreign employees in exchange for their contribution to combating Corona virus.

The French Minister of State in charge of citizenship affairs, Marilyn Schiappa, said that 2009 persons, including 665 minors, enjoyed the acceleration of the naturalization process due to "showing their connection to the nation."

France granted citizenship to more than 2,000 foreign employees because of their contribution to the efforts to confront the Corona pandemic, and they were allowed to apply for citizenship after only two years of residing in France instead of five years, and the procedure includes workers in the health sector, guards, cleaners, home care providers and babysitters.

Schiappa issued directives last September to expedite the consideration of applications for naturalization of essential employees who "have actively contributed" to the fight against Covid-19.
