Khaled Meri: The Journalists Syndicate received 125 million pounds in support from the state within two years

Khaled Miri, head of the committee overseeing the midterm elections at the Press Syndicate, announced that the Syndicate had received 125 million pounds from the state financial support within two years, and the support was important in more than one matter. The first is that everyone was hurt by the Corona pandemic, and about 25 million were spent in Treatment project.

 

In his speech during the General Assembly of the Press Syndicate, Khaled Meri added that part of the pensions and all activities of the Syndicate were also directed, explaining that the last two years were the most spent in the file of loans and advertisements to colleagues.

 

The regular meeting of the General Assembly of the Journalists Syndicate began a short while ago, after the completion of the quorum to discuss the agenda, which includes ratification of the report of the Syndicate Council from March 2020 until February 2021, and the approval of the final account for the year ending on December 31, 2019, as well as December 31. 2020, and approval of the projected budget for 2021.

 

Voting in the elections is scheduled to begin after the end of the general assembly meeting, to elect the president and 6 members of the Bar Council.

 

Elections are held in 32 electoral committees inside the Teachers Club headquarters on the island, in addition to one committee at the headquarters of the sub-union in Alexandria.
