Iraqi Health Minister Hassan Al-Tamimi arrived at the Lebanese capital Beirut, accompanied by a plane loaded with Iraqi medical aid for the Lebanese Ministry of Health, to contribute to efforts to combat Lebanon the spread of the new Corona virus and deal with the pandemic.
Upon his arrival at Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport, the Iraqi Minister of Health said: “The Corona pandemic has ravaged large health systems in the world, which requires concerted international efforts to confront them,” indicating that the visit comes within the framework of joint cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon and the close relations between the two countries. .
He pointed out that the aid that the Iraqi government sent to Lebanon includes medical supplies and respirators, in support of the efforts of the Lebanese Ministry of Health to address the epidemic.
For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan, expressed his appreciation for the Iraqi medical aid, stressing that it had a positive impact on the level of brotherhood and friendship between the two countries and the two peoples ... noting that the Iraqi medical aid would help enhance the "home proactive prevention" of the Coronavirus, especially through respirators. And equipments for intensive care rooms, in support of the strategy of the Lebanese Ministry of Health to relieve pressure on hospitals.
On a related note, Hamad Hassan affirmed that the first positive indicator for the process of receiving the anti-corona virus vaccine is reaching "zero infections" with the virus in the health sector, which was given priority in receiving the vaccine, indicating that the ministry is working to increase the frequency of vaccinations in various Segments of society, respectively, to reduce the level of injuries.
