The past week witnessed many developments at the level of relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Arab countries, as the activities of the joint Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee, which was prepared and coordinated by the Ministry of International Cooperation over the past period, were held, and 7 cooperation documents were signed at the conclusion of the work of the committee, which was held under the chairmanship of the prime ministers of the two countries. ; In the same context, the ministerial meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Ministry of International Cooperation, which comes within the mechanism of tripartite cooperation between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, where the participating ministers from the three countries agreed on areas of cooperation and the proposed documents for their implementation during the coming period; On the other hand, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, participated in the annual meeting of the International Intellectual Foundation Horasis to discuss the importance of achieving a sustainable economy based on the participation of relevant parties.
The Joint Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee
After intensive discussions by experts from the Egyptian and Jordanian sides, and then a preparatory ministerial meeting chaired by Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, the closing activities of the Joint Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee were held, headed by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Beshr Al-Khasawneh, Prime Minister of the Kingdom The Jordanian Hashemite Council signed 7 documents, memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements in many areas of common interest, in a way that strengthens the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
The Egyptian and Jordanian sides signed the framework agreement to enhance the electrical interconnection capabilities between the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the executive program for the exchange of experiences between the Ministry of International Cooperation and the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, as well as the executive program for the memorandum of understanding in the field of water resources, and the program Bilateral Executive in Housing and Urban Development; The committee also witnessed the signing of three memoranda of understanding in the field of antiquities, corporate control, communications and information technology, in addition to the minutes of the joint Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee meetings signed by the prime ministers of the two countries.
The Minister of International Cooperation affirmed that the Ministry will work to follow up on what was agreed upon in the meeting minutes of the Joint Supreme Committee and the cooperation documents and agreements signed, in coordination with all relevant ministries and government agencies, until the desired results are achieved, which reflect the aspirations and directives of the leaders of the two countries. To achieve economic integration and development, pointing out that the periodic meeting of bilateral technical committees between representatives of the concerned authorities from Egypt and Jordan will represent an important tool to follow up the implementation of agreements and propose new mechanisms to develop joint cooperation, at the level of joint relations between the two countries.
The Joint Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee is the most regular of the joint committees in session since its launch in 1985, as it played a major role in promoting joint relations at all levels between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and 29 sessions were held over the course of four decades that resulted in the signing of 154 protocols, agreements and cooperation documents in various fields, which were largely reflected in the indicators of economic, commercial, investment and cultural cooperation between the two brotherly countries; A number of technical committees in various fields have emerged from this committee to regulate the workflow and solve all obstacles that hinder efforts to strengthen joint cooperation relations.
Ministerial meeting for tripartite cooperation between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq

During its participation, Al-Mashat confirmed that the private sector’s participation in development efforts is an effective force in order to provide innovative solutions to achieve the 2030 National Development Agenda, and to bridge financing gaps through mixed financing and impactful investments, pointing out that with less than a decade remaining until 2030, The Ministry of International Cooperation works to stimulate the private sector to play a greater role in development through international partnerships.
A partnership between the International Finance Corporation and the Egyptian Financial Technology Association
The International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group and the Egyptian Financial Technology Association, launched a partnership to stimulate entrepreneurship in the field of financial technology, in a broader context related to stimulating private sector development and economic growth in the country.
Through this partnership, the International Finance Corporation works with the association to improve the business environment for entrepreneurs in the field of financial technology, conduct research and market analysis to identify the challenges and obstacles faced by entrepreneurs in the field of financial technology, in addition to launching awareness campaigns for relevant parties.
