Municipal meat prices stabilized today, Saturday, 3/13/2021, in butchers and hypermarkets.
Mustafa Saeed, the owner of a butcher shop, said that meat prices have been stable since the last Eid al-Adha, where the price of kandooz ranges between 120-140.
Saeed added in exclusive statements to "The Seventh Day that the price of baladi sausage is 110-140 pounds per kilo, and baladi liver is between 110-140 pounds per kilo, and the price of regular ground meat ranges from 110-125 pounds per kilo, and the price of lamb meat ranges between 120-140 pounds per kilo." 90-100 pounds per kilo.
It is worth noting that the state always seeks to increase production of meat, and therefore a plan has been drawn up to revive the veal project, which since 2017 and until now has reached about 4.1 billion pounds through the Egyptian Agricultural Bank and the National Service Projects Agency, the largest part of which is 3.6 billion pounds. It was made available in 2020, and the total funding granted to small breeders from this project amounted to 3.3 billion pounds, benefiting nearly 20 thousand small farmers with more than 224,000 heads in all governorates of the Republic (including local heads of more than About 203 thousand imported heads 18 thousand), and this project is currently being expanded due to the good results it achieved.
